Shaftless Screw Conveyor
The shaftless screw conveyor is a conveying equipment used with the filter press. Its function is the same as that of the belt conveyor. Screw Conveyor Without Shaft VS Shafted Screw Conveyor
The biggest difference between these two conveyors is the structure. As the name implies, the shafted screw conveyor has one more solid shaft than the shaftless screw conveyor, which can fix the blades.
The shaft screw conveyor has a relatively stable structure because it is supported by a central shaft and is suitable for long-distance material transportation. During the transportation process, the material moves along the axis direction, which makes it difficult to deviate and has less friction with the shell. However, due to the existence of the center shaft, the filter cake is easily blocked at the intermediate bearing, and the filling rate is low.
The screw conveyor without a shaft has a higher filling rate due to the lack of a central shaft, is not easily blocked, and has a high transportation efficiency. The lack of an intermediate shaft makes the transportation of the shaftless screw conveyor more flexible. However, the wear between the blades and the shell is faster, and the service life will be shortened. It is not suitable for long-distance transportation.
