Plate and Frame Oil Filter
The plate and frame oil filter is specifically designed for use in power plants, power stations, steel mills, oil depots, machinery, and various industrial and mining enterprises. It effectively filters hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, insulating oil, quenching oil, turbine oil, heat transfer oil, compressor oil, cleaning oil, diesel, kerosene, and other industrial oils. The Basic Structure of the Plate and Frame Oil Filter Machine
The entire machine consists of a gear pump, filter, filter bed, front and rear brackets, chassis, coupling, and motor. The filter bed is made up of multiple layers of filter plates and frames, with filter paper or cloth placed between them as the filtering medium. Filtration is achieved through the pressure applied by the clamping device. The filter plates and filter frames alternately form independent filter chambers, which are fixed to form separate filter chambers. The filter paper or cloth positioned between the filter plates and frames serves as the filtering medium.
The oil press machine is enclosed in a refined shell that protects all components from external contamination, making it ideal for environments with stringent usage requirements. Additionally, the oil filter housing features a quick-opening design, allowing the upper cover to be easily opened and the filter element to be replaced without the need for tools.
Working Principle of Plate and Frame Oil Filter
The inlet and outlet hoses are connected to their respective pipe joints. As the oil is drawn in through the filter’s inlet, it passes through the filter to remove larger particles and impurities before entering the gear pump. Driven by the motor, the gear pump rotates to generate extrusion force, causing the oil to enter the filter bed and penetrate the filter paper to filter out the oil impurities. Thanks to the capillary action of the oil filter paper, it absorbs any residual water present in the oil before the oil is discharged through the outlet pipe.
As impurities build up on the filter paper, the filter holes gradually become clogged, causing the oil delivery pressure to rise. When the pressure reaches the specified limit, it indicates the need to replace the filter paper. If the oil pressure exceeds the designated threshold, the return oil valve automatically activates, allowing the oil to circulate within the pump and preventing further pressure increase, ensuring the safe operation of the equipment.
